The Autumn Court
The Ashen Court is the keeper of the old ways. They know the ancient laws, the hallowed contracts and the mystic rites that hold the Keepers of the Forest at bay. Sorcerers, magicians, and shadows, the Ashen Court keep the cultural history and laws of the Freehold. It is an unspoken truth that the Autumn Court is the most powerful of the courts within Naukati Lake, their influence holding strong sway even in the brightest of spring days.

Titles

Autumn Apprentice
As the name suggests, these new members of the Autumn Court are learning the ropes. They serve as basic assistants and "go-fers," preforming the Court of Fear's menial tasks and chores while learning more about the rites and ancient laws of the Freehold.

Twilit Page
The Twilit Page teaches and oversees the Autumn Apprentices. They educate their students on the Ashen Court's structure, methods, and philosophy, seeing to it that these new members find their place quickly in workings of the court, often by the proverbial lash.

Ranger of the Thorns
Rangers of the Thorns venture into the Hedge to procure Goblin Fruits, Hedge oddities, and materials needed for hedgespun or other occult purposes. Some of the braver and more experienced Rangers are assigned to live within the hedge and keep eyes and ears open for movement from the Keepers of the Forest. It is also not uncommon for Rangers of the Thorns to serve as guides for other Courts that have business in the Hedge.

Paladin of Shadows
The champion of the Dread Sovereign. The Paladin of Shadows is the dark blade of the Ashen Court, it's foremost knight, and it's executioner. The position requires excellence in combat and unfaltering will. The Paladin often (but not always) favors might, steel, and fear over magic unlike other members of the court.

Scribe of the First Frost
The Scribe is the assistant to the Loremaster, and the book keeper of the Ashen Court. They are tasked with transcribing rituals, recording key events, and keeping the archives of the Freehold. While the Scribe appears only an assistant and information handler, they are in fact often in training to be the next Loremaster, however many scribes are replaced if they are not deemed fit or worthy for such a crucial role in the future.

Witch of the Bitter Omens
A powerful sorcerer and counselor on all matters occult, known to be proficient in many different sorcerous practices and possessed of dark and terrible knowledge. The Witch of Bitter Omens is the Freehold's medium between themselves and the Keepers of the Forest, as well as the Wyrd in general. Through methods obscure and superstitious, the Witch presents the yearly sacrifices, and determines and enacts the required rituals.

Magister of Nightmares
The task of finding and collecting the prey for an Ashen Hunt falls upon the shoulders of the Magister of Nightmares. Any member of the community, mortal or Changeling, could be selected in theory. In practice, the Magister tends to select undesirables as targets for the Hunt, using the opportunity to rid the town of some useless or troublesome individual. Their task begins at the start of every year and they keep a close eye on possible candidates on a yearly bases. When not select prey for the Hunt, the Magister duties include collecting and managing the required resources for the years rites and rituals.

Loremaster of the Ashen Tome
A crucial title of immense responsibility. The Loremaster is keeper of the freeholds history, and more importantly the Ancient Pacts which the freehold is built upon and its cultural and ritual are based. The Loremaster is not only a keeper of information but works closely with the Dread Sovereign in maintaining the contracts and obligations of the freehold.
